Springbok Casino practice mode not working? Work through these checks
When Springbok Casino practice mode will not start, the usual causes are five: you are signed in, the fun balance is spent, the game needs WebGL, it is a video poker machine on a computer, or the browser stopped the game from opening. Match what you see to the table below, then try the fix. If nothing works, Springbok's live chat or help@springbokcasino.co.za is the next step.

Match what you see to the likely cause
| What you see | Likely cause | Go to |
|---|---|---|
| No Try It! button, or a tile goes straight to a login | You are signed in, or the Log In form is open | Sign out and use the guest lobby |
| The game opens with little or no fun balance | The one-off fun balance has been used | Read this first |
| “Your hardware does not meet minimum system requirements” | The game needs WebGL and the browser is not providing it | Switch on graphics acceleration |
| A notice about Adobe Flash on a video poker machine | Desktop video poker is a Flash build | Use your phone |
| Try It! does nothing, or a blank window opens | A pop-up or content blocker, or a stuck page | Browser checks |
Springbok behaviour as seen in the logged-out lobby on 9 October 2026. The browser checks are general advice, not Springbok instructions.
Fixes, one problem at a time
Try It! is missing, or the tile asks you to log in
Why it happens: Practice mode is reached from the lobby as a guest. On 9 October 2026, each tile in the logged-out lobby showed Try It! beside Play, and the lobby's own Log In form carries a Practice Mode button. Springbok does not publish whether Try It! appears for a signed-in account, so a session you are still logged into is the first suspect.
Try this
- Log out of your Springbok account, close the tab and open the lobby again.
- If the Log In form pops up, tap its Practice Mode button instead of typing a username and password.
- Still signed in on another tab? A private or incognito window opens the lobby as a guest.
- If a tile only offers Play, you are on the real-money route. Back out rather than depositing to test a game.
The fun balance is empty or nearly gone
Why it happens: Springbok says logged-out players get a one-off R1,000 practice balance that does not renew. On 9 October 2026, a game freshly opened from the lobby showed R1,000.00; how the balance behaves over later visits is not something Springbok publishes.
Try this
- Close the game, open it again from the lobby and look at the balance it starts with.
- If it still opens empty, take Springbok at its word: the practice allowance is spent, and no way to top it up is published.
- Spend whatever is left on the game you most want to learn, at the stake you would really use, rather than on autoplay.
- Catching yourself hunting for ways to refill fun chips? Read the last section of this page.
“Your hardware does not meet minimum system requirements”
Why it happens: Teen Patti, Andar Bahar, 32 Cards, the crash games, Fu Long Plinko, Banana Jones and Fish Catch are drawn with WebGL, a browser feature that uses your device's graphics chip. In a browser without it, that group stopped at this message on 9 October 2026.
Try this
- Update your browser to the latest version and restart it.
- Switch on graphics or hardware acceleration in the browser's settings (in Chrome it sits under System), then restart.
- Try another current browser, or the same game on your phone.
- On a work computer, graphics features may be switched off by whoever manages the machine. Use your own device instead.
- Fu Long Plinko is the stubborn one: on 9 October 2026 it would not render even in a browser with WebGL, so it may not run in fun mode on your device either.
Video poker shows an Adobe Flash notice on a computer
Why it happens: The desktop lobby still serves video poker as a Flash game, and Flash no longer runs in browsers. On 9 October 2026 the notice said the game was no longer available on this platform and continued on mobile; it appeared for Jacks or Better and for Deuces Wild.
Try this
- Open the lobby on your phone, logged out, and choose Try It! on the same machine.
- Turn the phone sideways for a roomier pay table.
- No browser setting or plug-in brings Flash back. Do not download a Flash player from another site.
- The free video poker guide has the phone route step by step.
Try It! does nothing, or a blank window opens
Why it happens: This was not seen at Springbok, so the checks below are general browser advice. Casino games often load in a new window or an embedded frame, and pop-up or content blockers can stop either.
Try this
- Allow pop-ups for springbokcasino.co.za and for the lobby address, lobby.springbokcasino.co.za.
- Pause ad or script blockers for the lobby, then reload the page.
- Refresh the lobby, or open it in a private window.
- Clear the browser's cached files if the lobby itself looks broken.
Phone or computer: where each game family works
Several of the fixes above come down to the device in your hand. This is how the logged-out lobby behaved on each, game family by game family.
| Game family | Desktop browser | Phone browser |
|---|---|---|
| Slots | Try It! from the lobby | Mobile-enabled in the lobby |
| Roulette | Try It! from the lobby | Mobile-enabled in the lobby |
| Blackjack | Try It! from the lobby | Mobile-enabled in the lobby |
| Video poker | Flash notice on desktop: practise on a phone or tablet | HTML5 version plays |
| Table games | Newer tables need WebGL | Mobile-enabled in the lobby |
Lobby opened logged out on 9 October 2026. Springbok's lobby marks all 282 games as mobile-enabled. Newer tables showed "Your hardware does not meet minimum system requirements" in browsers without WebGL.

When to contact Springbok support
If none of the checks helps, or the same game fails on every device you own, hand it over to Springbok. Its support page lists three routes, and Springbok says the team works around the clock.
Live chat
The Chat button on Springbok's site and inside the lobby. Useful while the problem is still on your screen.
Email
help@springbokcasino.co.za, with screenshots and the details listed below.
Schedule a call
A phone callback you can book through the chat window.
Whichever route you choose, say what you were doing and what you saw:
- The game's name, and whether you chose Try It! or Play.
- Your device, your browser and its version.
- The exact message, word for word, or a screenshot of it.
- Whether you were logged in at the time.
A fun-mode problem never needs your password, card number or ID documents, so do not paste them into a chat to get a practice game working.
If the real problem is wanting more fun chips
Practice mode is meant to run out. If you catch yourself switching browsers or devices to keep playing for free, or moving to real money because the fun balance ended, that pattern is worth noticing. Talking it over costs nothing, and the gambling help page covers Springbok's own deposit limits and self-exclusion. For a refresher on fun mode itself, see how practice mode works.
Questions people ask
Why is there no Try It! button at Springbok?
Usually because you are signed in. Practice mode is the guest route: log out and reopen the lobby, or tap Practice Mode on the Log In form.
Can I reset my Springbok fun balance?
Springbok says the R1,000 practice balance is one-off and does not renew, and it publishes no way to top it up. A game freshly opened from the lobby showed R1,000.00 on 9 October 2026; beyond that, only Springbok can say.
What does “Your hardware does not meet minimum system requirements” mean?
The game needs WebGL, which your browser is not providing. Update the browser, switch on graphics acceleration, or open the game on your phone.
Why won't video poker play on my laptop?
Desktop video poker at Springbok is a Flash build, and Flash no longer runs in browsers. The same machines open in fun mode in a phone browser.
Does Springbok support help with practice mode?
Its support page lists live chat, email at help@springbokcasino.co.za and a callback, and Springbok says the team is available around the clock. Whether fun-mode questions get the same attention as account ones is not stated, so describe the problem clearly.
