PracticePractice guide · Slots
Free slots at Springbok run in the lobby's practice mode: stay logged out, tap any of the 244 slot tiles and choose Try It! to spin on a R1,000.00 fun balance. Use those demo spins to learn a slot's lines or ways, its features and its top award. Fun wins never pay out and say nothing about real spins.
18+. Code TEST-SPRINGBOK goes into Redeem Coupon before any deposit; 60x wagering, R1,250 max payout. Set a budget first.

RR1,000.00 fun balance on Try It!
No separate demo site, nothing to install: the free version of each slot sits behind the same tile as the real one, as the logged-out lobby showed on 9 October 2026.
Open the Slots tab
Every slot is listed there. New Games and Popular are shorter lists to start from.
Tap a tile, then Try It!
The slot loads with R1,000.00 in fun chips. Play, the other button, is for a funded account.
Set the bet, then spin with a purpose
Match the stake you would use with rand, open the info or pay table screen if there is one, and watch what the feature returns in multiples of your bet.
Phones use the same taps. The practice mode walkthrough covers the fun balance and phone vs computer.
Springbok's lobby tiles and slot reviews publish a short spec sheet for many games. Demo spins are where those specs stop being abstract:
| Spec | What it means | What to watch in fun mode |
|---|---|---|
| Lines or ways | Lines are fixed paths across the reels; ways pay matching symbols on neighbouring reels in any row; pays-anywhere games count symbols across the whole grid | How often small wins land, and whether they even cover the stake |
| Volatility | The lobby tile's label, from Low to Very high | Long quiet stretches and rarer, bigger hits at the high end |
| Features | Hold & Spin, free games, cascades, multipliers, jackpot picks | What triggers each one and what it pays against your bet |
| Top award | The biggest win, quoted per line or on the total bet | Which of the two the spec uses, before comparing games |
Volatility labels come from Springbok's lobby tiles. On the spec cards below, items marked (Springbok review) are Springbok's own figures.
Per-line and total-bet wording catches many players out: a top award quoted per line grows with your line bet, while one on the total bet already counts every line. A few fun spins with the pay table open settle which kind a game uses before a rand is at stake.
With this many titles, picking by feature is quicker than picking by theme. Each card below pays in a different way.
Hold & Spin coins lock where they land and reset a short run of re-spins; watch how many it takes to start the round. Three-reel games are the quickest to learn, and FAT CA$H shows what a high-volatility label feels like over a short session.

Pays-anywhere games ignore lines and drop winners to make room for new symbols; a screen full of cascades can still add up to less than the stake. Ways games pay neighbouring reels whatever the row. Olympus Thunderhold lists a Buy Feature priced in multiples of the bet: many spins' worth in one tap.

From fun chips to rand
No rush. When fun mode has done its job, the gentlest first step is Springbok's R250 chip, which needs no deposit. The welcome package only makes sense later, and only with a budget you have already set.

R1,250 is the cap on the promotions page and in the T&Cs; R500 still lingers on a few older Springbok pages.

Yes. Open the lobby while logged out, tap a slot tile and choose Try It!. The slot opens on R1,000.00 of fun chips, with no account needed.
Try It! opens the same lobby game in fun mode, not a separate demo site. Springbok publishes nothing on whether demo and real play share the same maths, so use demo spins to learn rules and features only.
No. Fun chips and fun wins have no cash value and cannot be withdrawn.
No. Wagering counts real bets placed while a bonus is active, and fun spins are not real bets.
